Do you have dry skin? I do! And it totally sucks when you’re living in the Mountain West area like I do. Each day I wake up and despair to find my skin blotted with white patches of dry skin. What makes things difficult is that I also have sensitive skin. I can’t just put on the oiliest moisturizer and expect everything to just work out. When grease touches my skin, it goes crazy. I get breakouts. My skin feels pretty gross, like it’s dripping with oil. I hate that feeling.
But I also learned that having dry skin was part of the reason why I was getting acne at my age. Because my skin wasn’t properly moisturized, my skin wasn’t as healthy as it should be, or could be. Contrary to some people who got acne from oily skin, I was getting it from dry skin!
So I started paying more attention to what products I used. If a product dried out my skin too much, I stretched it out by applying it every other day. I looked up moisturizers that could properly moisturize without the greasy feeling. I’ve seen improvements, but I’m still waiting to see a definitive clear up. We’ll see…
